Death being peanuts, that is.

Topic suggested by Shellefly :)

Tell us about your professors - do they have any weird tics or do anything that cracks you up?

Answer:
Well, luckily this year I don't hate any of them, I only hate one of my TAs :)

Chem101 - the prof is very good at explaining concepts in class, but I just need to do more at-home examples for practice. He uses his hands a lot, and frankly, my first impression of him was that he maybe was gay... I already know 2 gay men with PhDs in Chem, why not a third? But, when I read his dedication at the front of his lecture notes, it was almost that of a Born Again... which doesn't mean he's not gay... but anyway... I have a lot of friends from skating, that have been turned.... see where I'm coming from?

Chem101 TA -- I HATE her. She is Indian, and has a thicker accent than Apu - and Horrid handwriting. She wrote what looked like "pyopeyties" (properties)... and her 2's look like 4's... I also had an altercation with her toward the end of lab, where it ended with me taking my calculator from her, and my lab work and saying "Alright, apparently we don't see eye to eye, you can't make me understand what you're trying to tell me, so I'll just go back to my station, finish my work, and if I do end up being wrong, it'll just be one of my missed labs, I get to drop 2." And I was right. ha. full credit baby!

Abnormal Psych -- She reminds me of Carrie Weaver from ER, except she's not a bitch, nor does she walk with a cane. She speaks well, and I enjoy the material, so this class, I feel will not be an issue :) The only thing she does that makes me feel self conscious is that she calls on me by name... there are only 2 or 3 of us in class she'll call by name, and I'm one of them.

Anatomy and Physiology -- Prof is army trained, you can tell that in the way he talks, and his posture. But, his quirk is that his pronunciation of what I feel are common words is off... ie: he says "co-laggen" or "mi-lanin" not "callagin" or "melehnin" (collagen and melanin). I hope that makes sense in writing...

Psych of Non Verbal Behavior -- He is just a trip. Love him. The only complaint I have is that he talks super fast, so note taking can be hard. I may want to tape record him next week.... But, with that being said, my 3 hour class then becomes a 1.5 hour class because of Professor Speedy :)

History of Photography -- The class drones on because all she does is show slides and reads from a paper on the descriptions. She's into the subject, which makes it interesting enough, but art I feel is something to be discussed, more than dissected by the prof. I have a feeling that in the exam, we're going to have to be technical when we compare/contrast and our own personal opinions on the works won't matter much... which is a shame.

Good question! Bring it on!
