Evolution?
Aug. 30th, 2005 02:29 pmHow does a revolution of thought actually occur, on a broad scale... say a country, or the world?
Does one person have to inspire the masses? Do many small people have to do small things and then those small things get bigger over time? To the point where people are born into the new life? And eventually 4 generations down the road, the new philosophies are the ones taken for rote?
Does there need to be a mass extinction and rebuilding?
Do you need a martyr?
Do you need something bad to happen to you before you change and start thinking like the people who knew that bad thing would happen and wanted it not to?
Will it happen in my lifetime? Or, will I be a casualty of the present, and my lifetime shall be short? But due to my death (and others in my situation), will the future benefit?
