I am really angry at Lieberman for running for Senate even though he lost the primary (sore loser much?), so he's running as an Independent or whatever...

Now, in CT, both Lamont and Lieberman are ahead in the polls against the Republican candidate. So, no matter who wins *knocks on wood* there wouldn't be a Republican seat taken.

But, since Lieberman is not running as a Democrat -- if he happens to win the election... what will the seat be listed as for the next 6 years? Will the Dems lose the chance at a Democrat controlled Senate because Lieberman didn't run as a Democrat this year?

Thanks for any light that any of you can shed on this :)

BOTH professors who I asked for letters of reference from have said yes, and the one I just heard from was from a class I took in 2004 and he remembered me very well, and said some complimentary things in his reply.

So, those reference letters were making me nervous, but now that I have those... I am more worried about the GRE. I could take it this Saturday but I am busy :-P I'll have to take it on a weekday within the next few weeks. If I get the gym job I'll need a personal day... guess that is something I'll need to talk about if they choose me... I'll hear from them by next Wednesday after they talk to a few more candidates.

GRE is what I am most nervous about, then I need to write my "personal statement" which Yesiam said he would help me with, and then I need to pick a piece of writing to submit as a sample.

So... as overwhelming as this may be, it's kind of coming together. If I don't get in, maybe I'll try next year. Eep.

Even if I don't get into the PhD program, my application automatically gets reviewed for a Masters... and I have a much better shot at that.
