As the link suggests, a cheap, safe drug is being used to kill many types of cancer -- dichloroacetate (DCA).

It would absolutely kill me to find out that this drug does work, and could have been used 3 and/or 8 years ago (and well... for anyone I know that has lost someone to cancer in the recent past). The article doesn't specify exactly how many years this has been used to treat other metabolic disorders and I admit, I am too tired to go do more research. Maybe I'll just write a letter to NBC and ask if they can do a report on it.
