Effing school.

I have a "reaction paper" due today. I am a little more than halfway done. Blegh. It is really frustrating me to have to write about my reaction to this particular class -- Multicultural Counseling Competencies. Right now, we're reading about (in short) all the injustice in the US regarding minorities being oppressed by the majority and how it got to be this way. It makes me throw up a little in my mouth to think about how people 400+ years ago enslaved people and treated them like property, and how since then there has been this systematic prevention or correcting the problem and enforcing (or just having people do it because it's RIGHT and JUST) equality.

My reaction paper is supposed to be moderately formal, APA style and the like... but it really just feels like me on a soapbox for 4-6 pages preaching to the choir.

On a more pleasant note

I saw The Spiderwick Chronicles on Sunday night in IMAX. I haven't read the books, but I really enjoyed the movie.
