Anyone else see how wrong this is?
Apr. 25th, 2009 03:36 pmI don't remember how I got hooked up with this website, but I joined http://www.surveyu.com/ a while ago... it was either a promotion that got me curious, or it was when I was investigating how to distribute the online survey for my research team... either way, I get occasional emails telling me that there is a new survey up if I'd like to take it... yesterday I get one of these said emails asking me to take a 10min survey from some students at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
The first few questions were about demographic data, including this gem:
Race:
American
African-American
Asian-American
Asian
Hispanic
Other
I don't need to explain in how many ways this is just odd and wrong... and the "other" choice didn't even have a blank space to specify what "other" you are. But, to be a snark, I did choose other, and they'll have to interpret that as they see fit.
I feel the most appropriate loose association quote for this is from Family Guy:
"You know, I always thought that dogs laid eggs... I learned something today."
